The Photographer

I am so glad you are here, but to tell you the truth,  it is hard to sit down and write what you really want people to know about you!!

I am a small town girl, I was raised in the very small but close-knit town of Cherokee, Alabama.  I was born in the middle of two boys, David and Darrin (we were born in stair steps); we have always been and still remain very close.  I now live just outside of Huntsville, Alabama in Ardmore. I miss my mom and dad and nieces and nephews being just minutes away.  My Murph family, as I like to refer to my husband’s side, all live in Marietta, Georgia. No one close by to even borrow a cup of sugar from.

Most importantly, I am a child of God!  I can’t imagine where I would be without God’s love and grace.  I am a wife (to an amazing husband), daughter (to wonderful parents and in-laws), sister (I have already mentioned those stinky boys), oh-so-proud aunt of 8 (who keep my heart spinning day after day)!  You know I am photographer, but I also have a great love for flower gardening; my flowers are why I am the photographer I am today!  I am a major people lover (yes, I LOVE to talk) and  I am a major coffee addict (no really, I am addicted to it).

My husband Jason and I enjoy spending time with our two furry children, our Westie girl, Gilly and our little Maltese boy, Asher (yes, they are very spoiled).  As much as our hearts have desired children of our own, it just hasn’t been part of God’s plan.  We are still waiting to see how that chapter ends; the book hasn’t been closed.

I highly value my Christian beliefs and feel family is one of the greatest gifts in life! My photography is very vintage inspired.  I shoot both on location and in studio. My cute little studio is located in Elkmont, Alabama at 18820 Upper Fort Hampton Road.  I do hope to see you soon!
